This is me
A book lover with an infatuation for words. Someone who is continually in awe of great writing and eats historical fiction for breakfast. I adore Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and have re-read countless Haruki Murakami, just to find something new and previously overlooked in the midst of all the craziness. Personally I believe a book should invoke feeling and a form of identity, something that stays with you after you’ve turned the final page. Hopefully, this is what mine will do for you.
From what I can gather most writers are self-depricating, and I am no exception. Currently in the midst of finishing my first full length literary fiction title, I am forever changing things around, much to the dismay of my friend/editor, Abby. It is as though I am about to give birth. The anxiety, coupled with extreme pride and a dash of fear, keeps me in an emotional turmoil and makes me wonder whether it will actually ever be ‘good enough’? That is not to say I don’t believe in myself, I do! And that is why I will finish. But, before I release it into the world as a whole, I have published a sample here for your enjoyment.
